Welcome to Whiteprint

Whiteprint is an automated technical drawing generation system that converts 3D STEP files into production-ready 2D drawings. This guide will help you get started.

Prerequisites

• A Whiteprint account (sign up free)
• 3D CAD files in STEP format (.stp or .step)
• A modern web browser

Your First Drawing

1. Sign in to your Whiteprint account
2. Click the upload area or drag and drop your STEP file
3. Wait for processing (typically 30-60 seconds)
4. Review the generated drawing
5. Download in your preferred format

Understanding the Output

Whiteprint generates drawings following ASME Y14.5 standards. Each drawing includes:

• Optimal orthographic views
• Automatic dimensioning
• Section views where needed
• Detail views for small features
• Standard title block
